About Me

Do you feel like you’re a little different from the people around you – like some things that are hard for other people come easily to you, and other things are a lot harder? It took me almost 40 years to understand my neurodivergence, and I’m still learning every day!

The problem is, school isn’t set up for people like us – people who learn differently – and the majority of mainstream jobs aren’t really structured with neurodivergence in mind.

In my school district, there’s so much pressure for students to be high performing academically. There’s no focus on helping young people thrive. The school academic counselors and teachers have a huge workload and aren’t able to offer the individualized support that students need. They may not even be aware of all the resources that exist.

We all want to help people in ways we wish someone had helped us. I’m here to help you advocate for yourself and empower you to set yourself up for success.

I have been a teacher for over 25 years. I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including autistic people and people with ADHD.
